On Monday, Kate Beckinsale<\/a> appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote her upcoming action movie, Wildcat. Instead of discussing how she trained for the fight scenes, Beckinsale said she\u2019s been \u201con a huge mission\u201d to find out who Bubba<\/a> from the Epstein files could be. The actress then let Kimmel know that her 26-year-old daughter, Lily, has a boyfriend who recently laid a couple of eggs.<\/p>\n Okay, let\u2019s try to unpack this. Jimmy Kimmel, a man who presumably believes in science, asked if that was British slang for something, but Beckinsale clarified that, no, he\u2019s Jewish and from New Jersey. Of course! Beckinsale seems to believe that the boyfriend went to the bathroom and laid an egg with a \u201cshell and a yolk\u201d that appeared to be \u201chard-boiled.\u201d \u201cIt kind of cooked inside him,\u201d she said, adding that he laid another one soon after. \u201cA week later, my daughter was flying back to New York \u2026 I got a text that says, \u2018Oh my God, he\u2019s done it again, and now he\u2019s really freaking out,\u2019\u201d she said. Beckinsale also shared that he was allergic to tree nuts, but apparently that\u2019s not an explanation for the egg laying.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Her daughter sent her photos of the egg, but she only showed them to Kimmel and Guillermo Rodriguez because they were \u201ca little bit gross\u201d and \u201cquite medical.\u201d I can\u2019t imagine that her daughter or her boyfriend are okay with Beckinsale airing out this intimate medical issue, but who am I to judge?<\/p>\n The conversation somehow continued on after that. Beckinsale said she texted all of the doctors she knew to get to the bottom of the egg situation, saying that \u201cthe whole of America\u201d was involved in figuring it out. Incredible. She said the majority of them told her it was some sort of \u201ccomplicated masturbation thing,\u201d but she denied that explanation, too. Okay!<\/p>\n A rep for Beckinsale declined to comment on the egg story to People<\/a>, so it looks like we won\u2019t be getting to the bottom of it anytime soon.
