Look. He is crazy.\u2019 Despite all that, he refused to exactly say why he did it. It wasn\u2019t his news to share. It was his sister\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But Jack, who\u2019s known for his sometimes zany social media posts, shaved his head to support his sister during her cancer battle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow people know and they know a lot more about who he is as a person,\u201d says the source. \u201cSome people have reached out to basically say \u2018I\u2019m sorry I said s\u2013t. I didn\u2019t know.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Trolls are now apologizing after learning about his sister Tatiana\u2019s terminal cancer diagnoses. Getty Images for New York Magazine<\/p>\n<p>Tatiana detailed in a moving <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/culture\/the-weekend-essay\/a-battle-with-my-blood\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">New Yorker <\/a>piece how she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia immediately after giving birth to her second baby with her husband,\u00a0George Moran,\u00a0in May 2024.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re told that watching his sister navigate the healthcare system \u2014 combined with his own difficult back surgery several years ago \u2014 had a major impact on the way the Kennedy scion views his political mission.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/11\/12\/society\/kennedy-heir-jack-schlossberg-wants-to-fight-trump-by-running-for-congress\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jack announced<\/a> he was running for retiring Rep. Jerry Nadler\u2019s seat in New York\u2019s 12th Congressional District.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re told healthcare will be a large focus on Jack\u2019s campaign. @jackuno\/Instagram<\/p>\n<p>Both Jack and Tatiana are critics of their cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr. CBS via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s seen the healthcare system up close,\u201d the insider says. \u201cJack is going to make healthcare a huge piece of his campaign, especially because he <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/24\/us-news\/rfk-jr-claims-he-tried-to-keep-trump-from-warning-pregnant-women-off-tylenol-theres-nuance-to-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">has a family member [Robert F Kennedy Jr.]<\/a> directly undermining it. People will vote for Jack to send a message to RFK Jr., too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jack has struggled with back pain similar to his legendary grandfather, JFK, and has had two hip procedures.<\/p>\n<p>In Tatiana\u2019s moving essay, she detailed her grueling treatments and calls out cousin RFK Jr., the current US Secretary of Health and Human Services, whom she calls an \u201cembarrassment to me and the rest of my immediate family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tatiana\u2019s article thanks her family. Penske Media via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI watched from my hospital bed as Bobby, in the face of logic and common sense, was confirmed for the position, despite never having worked in medicine, public health or the government,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>In the piece she criticizes the \u201cMake America Healthy Again\u201d leader\u2019s positions on vaccines, reproductive healthcare and research funding.<\/p>\n<p>Jack reacted to his sister\u2019s story on Instagram the day it came out, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/11\/24\/celebrity-news\/jack-schlossberg-reacts-to-sister-tatianas-terminal-cancer-diagnosis\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">posting\u00a0a photo<\/a> of a concrete road followed by a picture of a blue sky.<\/p>\n<p>Jack posted this the day the article came out. Jack Schlossberg \/Instagram<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLife is short \u2014 let it rip,\u201d the 32-year-old wrote atop both images.<\/p>\n<p>Tatiana credits her husband and family with keeping her company during her hospital stays and helping take care of her 3-year-old son and 18-month-old daughter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy parents and my brother and sister, too, have been raising my children and sitting in my various hospital rooms almost every day for the last year and a half,\u201d she wrote. \u201cThey have held my hand unflinchingly while I have suffered, trying not to show their pain and sadness in order to protect me from it.
