{"id":406805,"date":"2025-11-26T20:56:15","date_gmt":"2025-11-26T20:56:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/406805\/"},"modified":"2025-11-26T20:56:15","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T20:56:15","slug":"thanksgiving-weather-will-be-pleasant-in-phoenix-area","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/406805\/","title":{"rendered":"Thanksgiving weather will be pleasant in Phoenix area"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHOENIX \u2013 If there\u2019s one thing Phoenix residents and visitors can usually be thankful for, it\u2019s festive Thanksgiving weather.<\/p>\n<p>And forecasters are saying this holiday weekend won\u2019t break the Valley tradition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe next couple days, we\u2019re looking really nice,\u201d Chris Kuhlman, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Phoenix, told KTAR News 92.3 FM on Wednesday morning. \u201cSunny skies today, temperatures above normal, with highs mid-70s. And we\u2019ll see the mid-70s last through at least probably Friday. A little bit of clouds on Thanksgiving, but we\u2019re going to stay dry.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Whether traveling around the Southwest or staying home this holiday week, weather conditions will be near perfect. Very comfortable temperature &amp; plenty of sun will be common through the week. Next chances for unsettled weather will not arrive until early next week. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/azwx?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">#azwx<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/cawx?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">#cawx<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/yEMBjcUZMe\">pic.twitter.com\/yEMBjcUZMe<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NWS Phoenix (@NWSPhoenix) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NWSPhoenix\/status\/1993158024609800616?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">November 25, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>What is normal Thanksgiving weather in Phoenix?<\/p>\n<p>Phoenix typically reaches 71-73 degrees on Turkey Day and has received measurable rainfall on the holiday just twice since 1989.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/MapClick.php?CityName=Phoenix&amp;state=AZ&amp;site=PSR&amp;textField1=33.4483&amp;textField2=-112.073&amp;e=0#.Yhzn3hPMJz8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Temperatures are expected<\/a> to drop a few degrees as the long weekend progresses, and a few showers aren\u2019t out of the question, but nothing disruptive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll have a cooldown Saturday into Sunday and then a little weak weather system is supposed to move through late Sunday into Monday, so it might bring a little bit of light rain,\u201d Kuhlman said.<\/p>\n<p>Once that system passes, highs are expected to drop into the middle to upper 60s.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNothing like drastically cold, but about a 10-degree temperature swing between today and tomorrow and early next week,\u201d Kuhlman said.<\/p>\n<p>Will it rain in Phoenix area next week?<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, December, which starts Monday, could get off to a wet start following multiple major <a href=\"https:\/\/ktar.com\/arizona-weather-news\/rain-more-phoenix-forecast\/5780466\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rain events<\/a> the previous three months.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven though the weather system for Sunday-Monday probably won\u2019t mean much for precipitation for Phoenix, I think we\u2019ll have another round middle to later next week where it might be pretty good rain chances,\u201d Kuhlman said.<\/p>\n<p>KTAR News 92.3 FM\u2019s Colton Krolak contributed to this report.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"twitter-follow-button\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kstonezone\" data-show-count=\"false\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Follow @kstonezone<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We want to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px;\">Have a story idea or tip?
