T-Pain<\/a> went off on DJ Khaled<\/a> during a recent interview with Shannon Sharpe for the NFL legend’s show, Club Shay Shay. In doing so, he suggested that his former collaborator isn’t to be trusted<\/a>, but expanded his complaints to the broader music industry as a whole. The topic arose while discussing the 20th anniversary of his debut studio album.<\/p>\n

\u201cNobody is your brother. Nobody,\u201d he said, as caught by HipHopDX<\/a>. \u201cEverybody\u2019s your brother while they can use you. That is the quickest and most consistent thing that I\u2019ve learned through this whole thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

T-Pain continued: \u201cI\u2019ve had f*cking DJ Khaled and everybody tell me, \u2018I\u2019m your brother.\u2019 Do not believe that sh*t! Like, DJ Khaled knows how to move, he knows how to do things with different people. But it\u2019s not [just] a DJ Khaled thing \u2014 that\u2019s just the first person I can think of. You gotta think about how many people I\u2019ve helped throughout their career. Everybody is like, \u2018Oh my God, thank you so much. You\u2019re my brother\u2019 \u2026 And then none of that sh*t was reciprocated. None of that sh*t meant anything.”<\/p>\n

T-Pain & DJ Khaled Songs<\/p>\n

T-Pain and DJ Khaled have worked together numerous times over the years, including on the songs \u201cAll I Do Is Win,\u201d \u201cI\u2019m So Hood\u201d and \u201cGo Hard.\u201d Their relationship soured in 2013 after Khaled began working more with Future<\/a>. This led to T-Pain accusing him of replacing him with Future during an interview with VIBE at the time.<\/p>\n

Years later, T-Pain reflected on the disagreement during an appearance on Drink Champs. \u201cFuture didn\u2019t get mad \u2026 He ignored the whole thing \u2026 And then Khaled hit me like, \u2018That\u2019s what you doing?’\u201d he recalled in 2021. \u201cI was like, \u2018Yeah, bro. You said that [Future\u2019s \u2018Bugatti\u2019 hook] was his and I didn\u2019t have anything to do with it.\u2019 He was like, \u2018Look back at the video.\u2019 I looked back at it and I was like, \u2018Okay, I don\u2019t have a rebuttal for this.\u2019 I was like the worst f*cking friend ever. Khaled was like, \u2018Take the post down! You used my artist in a smear campaign!\u2019 And I was like, \u2018[sighs].\u2019 I kinda still stand by what I said.\u201d<\/p>\n

T-Pain released his debut studio album, Rappa Ternt Sanga, back in December 2005.
