\n\tMillie Bobby Brown<\/a> is opening up about her relationship with David Harbour<\/a> after a viral report earlier this month that alleged<\/a> she had accused her Stranger Things co-star\u00a0of on-set bullying.<\/p>\n

\n\tDespite the report, Brown and Harbour surprised many as they were all smiles as they posed together at the season five world premiere<\/a> in Los Angeles on Nov. 6. A few days after the premiere, The Hollywood Reporter sat down with Brown and asked why it was important for the co-stars to show a united front amid the headline-making accusations.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019ve been doing that for the last 10 years,\u201d she responded. \u201cI mean, we have always been united in that. We love this show with everything, and we value our friendship more than anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe report, first posted by U.K. tabloid\u00a0The Daily Mail<\/a>, alleged that 21-year-old Brown filed a harassment and bullying complaint against the 50-year-old\u00a0Harbour before filming began for the final season. The report claimed there were \u201cpages of pages\u201d of allegations, but specific claims were not detailed; however, no sexual impropriety was reportedly alleged. An internal investigation by Netflix reportedly lasted \u201cfor months,\u201d and, as a result, Brown was also allegedly accompanied by a personal representative while on set for the fifth season before filming wrapped in December 2024.<\/p>\n

\n\tNetflix has not responded to queries about the report.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the first few episodes of season five<\/a> (mild spoiler alert), Brown\u2019s Eleven and Harbour\u2019s Hopper spend quite a lot of time together onscreen after being reunited at the end of season four<\/a>. Their characters had spent most of the previous season apart, as Hopper was imprisoned in a Russian labor camp and Eleven was trying to regain her powers with Dr. Brenner and Dr. Owens after moving to California with the Byers family.<\/p>\n

\n\tBrown also told THR it was \u201cso nice\u201d and \u201creally exciting\u201d being able to \u201ccome back together\u201d with Harbour on the fifth and final season.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt was quite nostalgic because it reminded me so much of season two and three, where we\u2019re both kind of butting heads and she\u2019s growing up, she\u2019s trying to find her own voice and he\u2019s trying to parent, and that dynamic definitely comes back into play once again, and I\u2019m really excited for people to see that,\u201d the actress added. \u201cAnd I think some of people\u2019s favorite scenes of Eleven are Ele and [Hopper], so I\u2019m really excited to have that come to screen once again.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThough Brown hasn\u2019t directly addressed the alleged report, the Duffer Brothers were previously asked<\/a> about the bullying claims at the L.A. premiere. <\/p>\n

\n\tCo-creator Ross Duffer told\u00a0THR\u00a0while standing next to his brother Matt Duffer, \u201cObviously, you understand I can\u2019t get into personal on-set matters, but I will say we\u2019ve been doing this for 10 years with this cast, and at this point they\u2019re family and we deeply care about them. So, you know, nothing matters more than just having a set where everyone feels safe and happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStranger Things\u00a0director and executive producer Shawn Levy was also asked how production handles a bullying complaint on set. \u201cYou have to create a respectful workplace where everyone feels comfortable and safe, and so we did everything to build that environment,\u201d he replied. \u201cAnd we\u2019re proud of the fact that we did so.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLevy added, \u201cI\u2019ve read a bunch of stories and they range from wildly inaccurate to \u2026 there\u2019s so much noise around it. But the truth is that we view this crew and this cast as family, and so we treat each other with respect, and that\u2019s always been bedrock.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tVolume 1 of Stranger Things season five is currently streaming on Netflix, with Volume 2 dropping on Dec. 25 and the series finale on Dec. 31, which will also be playing in theaters<\/a>.
