(Photo by Chris Stone\/Times of San Diego)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdmts.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Metropolitan Transit System<\/a> bus and trolley service will operate on modified schedules during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a look at the various changes.<\/p>\n<p>MTS will run a holiday schedule system-wide on Thanksgiving Day, meaning:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>all bus routes will operate on a Sunday schedule<\/li>\n<li>all trolley lines will operate with half-hour service and frequency<\/li>\n<li>there will be no service on Rapid Express Routes 280 or 290, or Rural Routes 888, 891 and 894<\/li>\n<li>Rural Route 892 will not operate<\/li>\n<li>MTS Access subscription passengers wanting a ride must call ahead of time to arrange transportation<\/li>\n<li>travelers can get to the airport via Route 992, next to the Santa Fe Depot, or the San Diego Airport Flyer from the Old Town Transit Center<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Friends Ride Free promotion will also be available on Thanksgiving Day, allowing one guest of a fare-paying adult to ride free on any MTS service, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>Youth may also use the MTS for free with the Youth Opportunity Pass Program. Details are at sdmts.com\/fares\/youth-opportunity-pass-program.<\/p>\n<p>Services closed on Thanksgiving Day are:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the Transit Store<\/li>\n<li>MTS Information and Trip Planning<\/li>\n<li>PRONTO Support Center<\/li>\n<li>the Customer Service office<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On Friday:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>all MTS urban and local bus routes will operate on normal weekday schedules<\/li>\n<li>all trolley lines will operate on a Sunday schedule<\/li>\n<li>all support services will resume normal hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Regular services will resume Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>During the busy holiday weekend, Petco Park on Saturday will host the <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofsandiego.com\/sports\/2025\/11\/26\/rey-mysterios-homecoming-spotlights-regions-lucha-libre-legacy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WWE Survivor Series: WarGames<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>MTS will increase its Green Line trolley service \u201cto help fans get to and from the event with ease,\u201d MTS said.<\/p>\n<p>Full service details for the event can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdmts.com\/rider-info\/events\/wwe-survivor-series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sdmts.com\/rider-info\/events\/wwe-survivor-series<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>More holiday travel information is available at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdmts.com\/getting-around\/service-changes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sdmts.com\/getting-around\/service-changes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>READ NEXT<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"San Diego Trolley downtown.
