JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 The Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office is investigating the death of a man whose body was found inside a car early Wednesday morning on the city\u2019s Westside. <\/p>\n

Officers said they believe foul play was involved in the man\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was parked in front of a home on Harriet Avenue, located between Ellis Road and Roberts Street on Jacksonville\u2019s Westside, near I-10.<\/p>\n

Investigators have not disclosed why they suspect foul play, but two neighbors told News4JAX they heard unusual noises around 3:30 a.m. that woke them up.<\/p>\n

Police say patrol officers were dispatched around 7 a.m. after a report of a man\u2019s body discovered in the driver\u2019s seat of a vehicle parked on Harriet Avenue. <\/p>\n

The victim was in his 50s, and police have not specified the vehicle type.<\/p>\n

One neighbor said, \u201cWe heard what sounded like a loud car running up and down the road. By the time we walked out to see what was going on, we couldn\u2019t see anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another neighbor added, \u201cI heard the noise. It woke me up first. Then my dog barked. I got up to check, and you could hear some ruckus going on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Both neighbors said the noise stopped for several hours until police arrived after daybreak.<\/p>\n

Police have detained several people for questioning, but have not confirmed if one of those detained is the person who called 911.<\/p>\n
