A 21-year-old man died Wednesday after the Lexus he driving\u00a0changed lanes and crashed into another vehicle on state Route 125 in Spring Valley, the California Highway Patrol said.<\/p>\n
The crash happened when the northbound Lexus crashed into a sedan driving in the lane to its right around 5:30 a.m. near Troy Street, CHP officials said in a news release.<\/p>\n
The Lexus then lost control, drove up an embankment and collided with a tree, CHP said. A witness told investigators that the driver of the sedan stopped on the shoulder, exited his car, but then got back into and drove away.<\/p>\n
The Lexus driver, a Spring Valley resident, died at the scene. His name was not immediately released.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The lanes were reopened shortly after 9 a.m.<\/p>\n
