Alissa White-Gluz <\/strong>has issued a statement on social media thanking fans for the support she’s received since announcing her exit from Arch Enemy<\/strong><\/a> on Sunday, November 23rd.<\/p>\n

White-Gluz had fronted the Swedish melodeath band since 2014, taking over for Angela Gossow<\/strong>. Her departure arrived alongside the debut of her new solo single<\/a>, “The Room Where She Died.”<\/p>\n

She’s been working on her solo material for years, having completed her debut album back in 2022. As for who will step in for Arch Enemy, original vocalist Johan Liiva <\/strong>has already ruled himself out, noting he was a fan of Alissa’s tenure and won’t be returning.<\/p>\n

In a recent post on her social media White-Gluz remarked:<\/p>\n

Wow.<\/p>\n

I am blown away by the outpouring of love and support I have received over the past few days. Times of transition can be especially intense for the mind, body and heart. I don’t take any of this lightly. But, the overwhelmingly positive response to “The Room Where She Died” has given me so much renewed energy and clarity about who I am as an artist and why I love singing and creating music.<\/p>\n

I am proud of the body of work I have been building for decades. After so many years of honing my skills as a vocalist, song-writer and performer; absorbing and learning with every show, every album, every video and every meet & greet, I am excited to let my solo work stand on its own.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
