A suspect who struggled with officers was arrested Thursday in the stabbing of a man who suffered a cut to his arm in the East Village neighborhood, officials said.<\/p>\n
The victim said he was leaving the San Diego High School stadium parking lot in the 1300 block of Park Boulevard just before 8 a.m. Thursday “when he was confronted by an individual who attempted to stab him,” according to the San Diego Police Department.<\/p>\n
The victim \u2014 who suffered a 1-inch cut to his upper left arm \u2014 described the assailant as a white male in his 50s, wearing a baseball hat, black jacket and shorts, the SDPD said.<\/p>\n
Officers found a possible suspect at 1600 C St., “and observed a knife sticking out of his pants pocket,” according to the SDPD.<\/p>\n
The suspect “was uncooperative, refusing to comply with officers’ commands,” police said, adding that the officers “deployed less-lethal impact rounds.”<\/p>\n
Police said they also deployed a service dog and then took the man, identified as 58-year-old Hollis Hunt, into custody.<\/p>\n
Hunt was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, obstructing\/resisting police officers and a felony warrant, and booked into the San Diego Central Jail.<\/p>\n
