He explains, \u201cWhen you fast, your body and cells get time to heal. During fasting, cells enter a maintenance mode, which helps the <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/topic\/immune-system\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"immune system\" rel=\"noopener\">immune system<\/a> function better and removes damaged or negative cells. This repair process is essential for overall health and cellular rejuvenation.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Addressing a common misconception, Dr Krishna warns, \u201cMany people believe that a <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/lifestyle\/health\/common-mistakes-people-make-on-ketogenic-diet-101717249033947.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"ketogenic diet\" rel=\"noopener\">ketogenic diet<\/a> can cure cancer. That\u2019s not true. The body only enters a ketogenic state when it is necessary, and following such a diet blindly can be harmful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> Is ketogenic diet always safe for cancer<\/p>\n<p>He emphasises the importance of personalised guidance: \u201cOnly consider a ketogenic diet if your cell or gene expression indicates it would be beneficial.
