We like to say, \u2018A little bit motel. A whole lot of mood.\u2019 We can\u2019t wait for the community and travelers to experience the restoration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u200bThe motel\u2019s 23 guest rooms are now available to book and feature self-entry and self-check-in.\n<\/p>\n<p>Each room is decorated with original artwork and vintage-inspired furniture, equipped with a mini fridge, TV and free Wi-Fi. Room options range from a king suite with a kitchenette to a single queen.\n<\/p>\n<p>Opening alongside the motel at \u200b5500 E. Colfax Ave. is El Pi\u00f1on, a coffee shop and cocktail bar located on site. (Photo provided by La Vista Motel)<\/p>\n<p>Operated by Weston Scott, founder of Denver\u2019s Ephemeral Rotating Taproom, El Pi\u00f1on also offers access to Grandma\u2019s Basement, a downstairs space designed to resemble a 1960s-era basement.\n<\/p>\n<p>The area can be reserved for private events or meetings, or used as a workspace for guests.\n<\/p>\n<p>The coffee shop and bar is open from 7 \u200b\u202fa.m. to 9\u202f\u200b p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 7\u202f\u200b a.m. to 11\u202fp.m. Friday and Saturday and from 7\u202fa.m. to 7\u202fp.m. Sunday.\n<\/p>\n<p>Beal purchased the motel in 2022 for $1.82 million, according to city property records, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2024\/06\/21\/east-colfax-la-vista-motel-renovation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">construction began last year<\/a>.\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" lazyautosizes lazyload\" alt=\"A 1950s image of La Vista Motel. (Photo provided by La Vista Motel)<\/p>\n<p>The motel\u2019s interiors, including all guest rooms and El Pi\u00f1on, were designed by Melissa Friday of Xan Creative, known for her work on Snooze, Ginger Pig and Steuben\u2019s. <\/p>\n<p>Friday\u2019s design blends retro-inspired elements with modern comfort, using salvaged pieces from antique stores and resellers throughout Denver.\n<\/p>\n<p>That same attention to preserving character guided the exterior restoration by Sopher Sparn Architects, who maintained the building\u2019s original charm.
