No. 8-ranked <a data-player-guid=\"9b79e506-da5f-e10a-6b4e-9a2a93ed34bb\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/sports\/tennis\/players\/profile?playerId=3764\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lorenzo Musetti<\/a> wasn&#8217;t playing either.<\/p>\n<p>Italy didn&#8217;t need them, winning all three of its matches 2-0 this week in the SuperTennis Arena in Bologna after eliminating Austria in the quarterfinals and Belgium in the semifinals.<\/p>\n<p>Spain was also without its star in top-ranked <a data-player-guid=\"07843754-8bdf-63b0-5983-24252738169e\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/sports\/tennis\/players\/profile?playerId=3782\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carlos Alcaraz<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In Sunday&#8217;s final, Berrettini beat <a data-player-guid=\"7ba77580-4f3a-73fd-66f7-7354306769dd\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/sports\/tennis\/players\/profile?playerId=1590\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pablo Carreno Busta<\/a> 6-3, 6-4 before Cobolli fought back to beat <a data-player-guid=\"cecb9d28-c424-9d69-b7cd-9018460d5aff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/sports\/tennis\/players\/profile?playerId=2709\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jaume Munar<\/a> 1-6, 7-6 (5), 7-5 and clinch the winning point as he has all three times this week. Cobolli dropped his racket to the ground and was lifted in the air by his Italy teammates.<\/p>\n<p>Italy first won the Davis Cup in 1976 before wins in Malaga in 2023 and 2024.
