CHICAGO (WLS) — Two women were shot and critically injured Wednesday night on Chicago’s West Side, Chicago police said.<\/p>\n

The women were outside just before 9:15 p.m. in the 100-block of South Cicero Avenue in South Austin when an SUV drove by, and someone shot at them, police said.<\/p>\n

A 49-year-old woman was shot in the face and chest, and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition. A 38-year-old woman was shot multiple times, and also taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition.<\/p>\n

There is no one in custody, and Area Four detectives are investigating.<\/p>\n

Chicago police did not immediately provide any information about a possible suspect or suspects.<\/p>\n
