{"id":411337,"date":"2025-11-28T20:40:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-28T20:40:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/411337\/"},"modified":"2025-11-28T20:40:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T20:40:16","slug":"dcu-clayface-man-of-tomorrow-more-get-updates-from-james-gunn-comic-book-movies-and-superhero-movie-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/411337\/","title":{"rendered":"DCU: Clayface, Man of Tomorrow, &#038; More Get Updates From James Gunn &#8211; Comic Book Movies and Superhero Movie News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/superherohype.com\/tag\/james-gunn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">James Gunn<\/a> has recently offered up some updates on the status of several <a href=\"http:\/\/superherohype.com\/tag\/dc-universe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DCU<\/a> projects, including <a href=\"http:\/\/superherohype.com\/tag\/clayface\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Clayface<\/a> and the Superman sequel, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.superherohype.com\/tag\/man-of-tomorrow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Man of Tomorrow<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>In a recent post on Instagram\u2019s Threads, Gunn was asked what his day-to-day looked like as one of DC Studios\u2019 co-CEOs. Gunn exclaimed that there was no \u201caverage day,\u201d as most of his time is spent working on a variety of things.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s the latest update on several DCU projects?<\/p>\n<p>He then broke down some of his current workload, and noted he was working on storyboard and department meetings for Man of Tomorrow, as well as doing things like scouting and casting for the highly anticipated movie <a href=\"https:\/\/www.superherohype.com\/movies\/639092-man-of-tomorrow-villain-revealed-for-superman-dcu-sequel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">set to focus on the villain Brainiac<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Gunn also said he was working on cuts of both <a href=\"http:\/\/superherohype.com\/tag\/supergirl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Supergirl<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/superherohype.com\/tag\/lanterns\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lanterns<\/a>, as well as working on how to handle the marketing for the projects. As for the world of Batman, Gunn said he was working on \u201csupporting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.superherohype.com\/tag\/the-batman-part-ii\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Batman 2<\/a> crew\u201d to make sure Matt Reeves\u2019 next project \u201cgoes smoothly,\u201d and that he\u2019s still waiting to see the first cut of <a href=\"http:\/\/superherohype.com\/tag\/clayface\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Clayface<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"922\" height=\"566\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/1764362416_709_image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-641341\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Currently, DC Studios has several projects in the works. Up next for the company is Supergirl, set to release on June 26, 2026, and will star Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, who meets the young Ruthye Marye Knoll and joins her on a quest for revenge. Following that, DC Studios will also release Clayface on September 11, 2026. That film will star Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen\/Clayface, and comes from a script written by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini. <\/p>\n<p>Also in 2026, DC Studios will release Lanterns, an HBO series based on the iconic group the Green Lanterns.
