{"id":41135,"date":"2025-07-05T16:06:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-05T16:06:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/41135\/"},"modified":"2025-07-05T16:06:10","modified_gmt":"2025-07-05T16:06:10","slug":"man-charged-in-connection-to-attempted-carjacking-incident-in-arizona","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/41135\/","title":{"rendered":"Man charged in connection to attempted carjacking incident in Arizona"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHOENIX \u2014 A man was charged Wednesday in connection to a deadly attempted carjacking incident in Arizona on Monday, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Julio Cesar Aguirre, 42, a Mexican national, was charged by criminal complaint on multiple charges, including attempted carjacking and use and discharge of a firearm, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-az\/pr\/mexican-national-charged-after-killing-attempted-carjacking-victim-tucson-arizona\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office for the District of Arizona<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Why was the man charged in the Arizona incident?<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors said the criminal complaint alleges that Aguirre shot and killed a man, while attempting to carjack his Toyota Tundra on Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>When officers were called to the scene, witnesses directed the police to a nearby home. When they arrived at the home, residents told police a man matching Aguirre\u2019s description had threatened them with a firearm and demanded to give them his vehicle before leaving.<\/p>\n<p>Officers then found Aguirre in a nearby shortage shed with a firearm nearby. Police then took Aguirre into custody without further incident.<\/p>\n<p>Upon investigation, authorities learned Aguirre was a Mexican citizen and was illegally in the U.S. Records revealed he had been arrested 10 times between 2007 to 2013 for immigrated-related crimes and was removed from the U.S. in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>The Aguirre case is part of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/dag\/media\/1393746\/dl?inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Operation Take Back America<\/a>, a nationwide effort to combat violent crime and \u201cinvasion of illegal immigration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"twitter-follow-button\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Leasure96\" data-show-count=\"false\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Follow @Leasure96<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We want to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px;\">Have a story idea or tip?
