WCCO <\/p>\nA winter snowstorm is set to arrive in Minnesota on Friday night and drag across the state into Saturday.<\/p>\n
Highs on Friday will be in the mid-20s and clouds will increase through the afternoon.<\/p>\n
A winter storm warning will be in effect in Brown, Nicollet and Redwood counties in southern Minnesota starting Friday at 6 p.m. Goodhue, Le Sueur and Rice counties will be under the same warning starting at midnight, according to the National Weather Service.<\/p>\n
A winter weather advisory will be in place for Renville, Sibley and Yellow Medicine counties starting at 6 p.m. Western Minnesota counties and the metro will be under the same advisory beginning at midnight. \u00a0<\/p>\n
WCCO has issued a NEXT Weather Alert, which will be in effect from Friday at 6 p.m. to Saturday at midnight.<\/p>\n

The snow will begin in southwestern Minnesota Friday night, then expand across southern and eastern Minnesota on Saturday. Areas along I-90 could see 6 to 10 inches, Redwood Falls and Red Wing may see between 3 and 5 inches and Faribault could see 4 to 6 inches.<\/p>\n
In the Twin Cities, 3 to 4 inches is likely, with 2 to 4 inches in the north metro.<\/p>\n
Sharply colder air arrives behind the storm. High temperatures on Saturday will be in the mid-20s with wind chills in the teens.<\/p>\n

High temperatures next week will\u00a0be between the teens and 20s with another chance for snow at the end of the work week.<\/p>\n
