Three people who the Border Patrol said entered the country illegally on Friday afternoon survived after falling from the 30-foot fence on the San Diego side of the U.S.-Mexico border, authorities said.<\/p>\n
The incident took place in Otay Mesa at Drucker Lane and La Media Road, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue Public Information Officer Candace Hadley.<\/p>\n
The two men and woman, who are all adults, were transported to local hospitals after emergency responders were dispatched at about 12:15 p.m., a Border Patrol spokesman said in a statement sent to NBC 7.<\/p>\n
By the time SkyRanger 7 arrived over the scene, just one of the victims remained, strapped down to a gurney that paramedics wheeled over to a waiting Falck ambulance. That person, who was sitting up and appeared to be alert, seemed to have injured their foot or leg. <\/p>\n
