Moreover, he guided Newcastle to qualify for the Champions League by finishing fifth in the Premier League last term.

Livramento was even a key player in the England national team, who won the U21 European Championship last summer. He has also been a part of the senior England team but wasn’t selected for the last two international breaks due to injury problems.

Now, Caught Offside claim that the defender’s recent eye-catching performances haven’t gone unnoticed as he has started attracting a lot of attention ahead of the upcoming winter transfer window.

Manchester City are keen on purchasing him in January, but the Magpies have no intention of letting him leave in mid-season, and the player isn’t pushing to leave.

So, Arsenal are planning to make a move at the end of this campaign, with Mikel Arteta looking to upgrade the RB position. Moreover, Manchester United are interested in the youngster as well.

Livramento to Arsenal

Mikel Arteta currently has Ben White and Jurrien Timber as the right-back options. The Dutchman has been playing regularly in recent months due to White’s fitness problems.

However, before Timber’s arrival, the Englishman was an internal part of Arteta’s starting line-up. So, Arsenal don’t need a new right-sided defender at the moment.

But if White couldn’t overcome his injury issues, Arsenal would have to go for a new right-back. Therefore, it appears the Gunners are lining up Livramento as a potential option if they are forced to make a move to replace White.

The Newcastle star has proven his worth in the Premier League in recent years and would be a shrewd acquisition for Arsenal should they purchase him.

However, Newcastle are unlikely to let their star man leave for cheap with his existing deal set to run until 2028, and he is valued at around £35m by Transfermarkt.

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Newcastle United defender Valentino Livramento, as per Caught Offside.
