Ever since Brendan Rodgers resigned, it\u2019s Nancy\u2019s<\/a> name that has sat front and centre in Celtic\u2019s<\/a> managerial hunt. <\/p>\n

It has allowed the Celtic Park<\/a> faithful to get a strong gauge as to who the man is and what he has done in the MLS. <\/p>\n

Former Premier League midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker, who worked with Martin O\u2019Neill during their days at Aston Villa, had a message from Stateside for all those fans who are probably unsure about Nancy<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Reo-Coker didn\u2019t mince his words on CBS Sports; he stated that Nancy is the \u2018best manager\u2019 in the MLS<\/a>, after his stints with CF Montr\u00e9al and currently Columbus Crew. <\/p>\n

The former midfielder, who made 205 Premier League appearances, thinks there is an \u2018arrogance\u2019 in European football when it comes to appointing managers outside of their own waters. <\/p>\n

Ahead of Nancy\u2019s imminent arrival<\/a>, Reo-Coker wanted to shut down any \u2018nervousness\u2019 from the Celtic fans regarding their next coach. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll just say, for me, for the Celtic fans watching around the world,\u201d said Reo-Coker. \u201cThey don\u2019t know him. <\/p>\n

\u201cSo, there is this nervousness of, who is he? Because there is an arrogance from English football and European football that \u2018we want someone from Europe. We want somebody we know. To understand.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWillfried Nancy is French. He nearly went to Ligue 1 clubs, because he is so highly rated. He is the best manager in MLS. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I like about him is how competitive he is, with playing in the equivalent of the Champions League over here and the domestic MLS season. And to stay competitive in both.<\/p>\n

\u201cConsistently. It wasn\u2019t just a one-off season. He has done it consistently. He is great at developing young players. He knows the European game. This isn\u2019t a manager that is going to go into Europe, that is going to be like a deer stuck in headlights, not realise European football and culture.\u201d<\/p>\n

Celtic fans sent a message about Wilfried Nancy from Stateside. Do you agree? Nancy will be aware of the \u2018beast\u2019 that is Celtic<\/p>\n

Celtic are one of the biggest clubs in the world; the issue some people on the outside have is that they sometimes don\u2019t realise the pressures inside Glasgow. <\/p>\n

But Reo-Coker stated that there is no such worry with Nancy because he understands the \u2018beast\u2019 he is about to take charge of. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe will be very aware of what Celtic is as a football club,\u201d added Reo-Coker. \u201cWhat it means to the fans. He will develop young players.\u00a0For me, he plays the best European brand. Style of football in America. That\u2019s the reality of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWilfried Nancy isn\u2019t going to go into this job naive and not realising the beast that is being a Celtic manager<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
