{"id":411952,"date":"2025-11-29T03:00:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-29T03:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/411952\/"},"modified":"2025-11-29T03:00:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-29T03:00:16","slug":"five-boys-injured-after-jumping-castle-flies-into-air-in-sydneys-west","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/411952\/","title":{"rendered":"Five boys injured after jumping castle flies into air in Sydney&#8217;s west"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Five children have been injured after a jumping castle at a property in Sydney&#8217;s west flew into the air and was blown into a neighbouring fence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Just after 9:30am on Saturday, emergency services responded to reports of injuries at Kelvin Park Drive in Bradfield.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said they were told that up to six people were onboard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;On arrival, we treated five patients, all males, ranging from nine to 13 years of age,&#8221; the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Four of the children were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and taken to the Children&#8217;s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The other child did not need hospitalisation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">SafeWork NSW attended the scene and are investigating.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">In December 2021, six children were killed when a dust devil lifted a jumping castle into the air in Devonport, Tasmania.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Rosemary Anne Gamble, who set up the jumping castle at Hillcrest Primary School, was found not guilty in June of failing to comply with a health and safety duty.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing in Saturday&#8217;s incident in Bradfield.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Five children have been injured after a jumping castle at a property in Sydney&#8217;s west flew into the&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":411953,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[4740,46458,193627,193626,50,22234,9309],"class_list":{"0":"post-411952","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-news","8":"tag-australia","9":"tag-bradfield","10":"tag-childrens-hospital-at-westme","11":"tag-jumping-castle-flips-in-sydneys-west","12":"tag-news","13":"tag-nsw-ambulance","14":"tag-nsw-police"},"share_on_mastodon":{"url":"https:\/\/pubeurope.com\/@us\/115630756580022478","error":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/411952","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=411952"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/411952\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/411953"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=411952"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=411952"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=411952"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
