Billy Crudup gave a rare glimpse inside his parenting relationship with ex Mary-Louise Parker, 22 years after he left her for Claire Danes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, without commenting on any of our\u2026,\u201d Crudup told the Times <\/a>in an interview published Thursday.<\/p>\n

The \u201cWeeds\u201d star \u2014 whom Crudup had been dating for seven years \u2014 was seven months pregnant when he began a relationship with his \u201cStage Beauty\u201d co-star.<\/p>\n

Crudup and Parker\u2019s son, 21-year-old William Atticus Parker, has followed in his parents\u2019 footsteps and is now a writer, director and actor.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has, through the mash-up of the two of us, been endowed with superpowers for theatricality,\u201d Crudup told the outlet.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s such a badass,\u201d he added. \u201cMary-Louise and I appeared in most of his films.\u201d<\/p>\n

A rep for Parker did not immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n

Crudup, now 57, and Parker, 61, met as co-stars in the Broadway production of \u201cBus Stop\u201d in 1996.<\/p>\n

The \u201cMorning Show\u201d actor met Danes \u2014 who was then dating Ben Lee \u2014 in 2003, and after both left their respective partners, they went public in 2004.<\/p>\n

Danes and Crudup went their separate ways in 2007, but the widely publicized romance left an impression on all involved.<\/p>\n

Parker, meanwhile, detailed her heartbreak in \u201cDear Mr. You,\u201d her 2015 memoir.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am pregnant and alone. It hurts to even breathe,\u201d she wrote in part via a note to a cab driver who was transporting her to a doctor appointment.<\/p>\n

In 2007, Parker went on to adopt daughter Ash, 18, from Ethiopia, and she was briefly engaged to \u201cWeeds\u201d co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan in 2008.<\/p>\n

Crudup tied the knot with Oscar winner Naomi Watts<\/a> in 2023 \u2014 and despite their complicated past, Parker had only supportive words for Crudup and Watts.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wish them well,\u201d Parker told\u00a0the Guardian<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd absolutely, I honestly of course wish them every happiness because that\u2019s my son\u2019s father. So I\u2019m happy for them.
