The Houston area\u2019s best Christmas market<\/a> is set to return this December<\/a>! This holiday season, skip the passport and head straight to Tomball for an authentic taste of Europe. Celebrating its 19th year, the Tomball German Christmas Market<\/b> is ready to commence its wonderful festivities.<\/p>\n What Travel Mag named one of the best Christmas markets in the United States<\/strong>, the Tomball German Christmas Market is a longstanding holiday tradition hosted in Tomball\u2019s historic Old Town area.<\/p>\n Running from December 12 \u2014 December 14<\/strong>, the Bavarian Christmas market features a sprawling village modeled after the likes of traditional German markets<\/strong> you would find in Dresden or Leipzig. The market filled with delicious food vendors where visitors can indulge in classic comfort food as well as traditional Deutschland delights<\/strong> like bratwurst, mulled wine, and schnitzel.<\/p>\n Of course, visitors can also enjoy a line-up of Bavarian beers<\/strong> available in all sizes and shapes \u2014 we\u2019re talking das boot, y\u2019all.<\/p>\n Visitors can knock out a little holiday shopping when there, as the market features a wide range of artisan vendors on-site<\/strong> selling all sorts of German souvenirs, unique wares, clothing, and antiques.<\/p>\n Entertainment-wise, the festival features a carnival-like atmosphere<\/strong> with all sorts of rides as well as designated kid play areas<\/strong>. Furthermore, the market hosts a vibrant array of live performances over multiple stages<\/strong> ranging from \u201cOompah\u201d bands, to Christmas carolers, dance groups, and more.<\/p>\n Throughout the festival, organizers will also host a number of contests<\/strong> including Bier Stein Hoist Contest, Chicken Dance Contest, Yodeling Contest, and more!<\/p>\n Here\u2019s what Travel Mag had to say about the Tomball German Christmas Market:<\/p>\n \u201cThis fun-packed event is a street festival, musical concert and open-air Christmas market<\/strong> all rolled into one. Visitors can tap their feet to well-known stage performers and carol singers while perusing the 175-plus vendors<\/strong> peddling enticing Christmas items, arts and crafts, and plenty more. There\u2019s also a huge range of festive food and drink offerings, including mulled wine, beer, Christmas Stollen, bratwurst and sauerkraut. A dedicated kid\u2019s area featuring carnival rides, bungee-jumping, a rock wall, a petting zoo and pony rides help keep little ones entertained for hours.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The Tomball German Christmas Market takes place from December 12 to 14<\/strong> at 201 S.
