It’s no secret that President Donald Trump<\/a> and his wife Melania are far from the perfect couple, but a closer look into their everyday habits as spouses shows just how estranged the two seem to be<\/a>.<\/p>\n According to Michael Wolff’s book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, the couple was the first since John and Jackie Kennedy to sleep in different rooms at the White House. Trump reportedly wanted a key to his bedroom, locking out his wife and the secret service so he could eat cheeseburgers and watch three separate televisions at once. Trump finally agreed to discuss military recruitment, but he was quickly distracted once more.<\/p>\n \u201cI remember saying to our great First Lady…\u201d he began, before stopping his story to suddenly reveal. \u201cI call her \u2018First Lady,\u2019 isn\u2019t it terrible?”<\/p>\n He added: \u201cI\u2019m saying \u201cGood night, First Lady, my darling,\u2019 because it reminds me that I\u2019m president, that\u2019s why.”<\/p>\n Melania \u2018demanded her own bedroom\u2019<\/p>\n Melania allegedly “can’t stand” her husband, so she “demanded her own bedroom” in the White House. Melania was the talk of the town for a while after turning down former First Lady Jill Biden’s offer to tea at the White House and causing speculation about whether she would live in Florida<\/a>, New York, or Washington, D.C., during her husband’s second term.<\/p>\n A separate room from the president was allegedly one of the stipulations made for the 54-year-old’s reinstatement on Capitol Hill, despite her earlier admission that she was “not nervous” about serving as First Lady for the second time. According to a purported insider close to the family, Melania’s wish to live apart from Trump\u2014with whom she has teenage son Barron\u2014is not new information, according to Radar Online.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was no secret that Donald stayed in the White House master suite and Melania occupied a two-room suite on the third floor during their first-go round there,\u201d the source revealed.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019ll now basically go back to something along those very same lines \u2014 if not in the very same rooms.\u201d<\/p>\n A spokesman for Trump told RadarOnline that these allegations regarding their sleeping arrangements were untrue.<\/p>\n First couple share a meal and conversations before adjourning to separate bedrooms<\/p>\n According to people close to the marriage, Trump and Melania still undertake a unique ritual together each night before they go to bed, even though they sleep in separate bedrooms.<\/p>\n Critics were quick to point out that Melania doesn’t share a bedroom with her husband when she finally moved into the White House this year, months after Trump assumed office.<\/p>\n Before going to bed, the first couple is reported to have dinner together every night and engage in lively conversation before turning in for the night. “They did not share a bedroom, but they ate dinner together every night,” the insiders said of the president’s first term.
