Richard Coleman, an Arlington police spokesman, investigators believe the driver of a white sedan was traveling westbound when they lost control of their vehicle and collided with a gray sedan. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The white sedan then struck a wall and caught fire, according to Coleman. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Arlington firefighters responded and extinguished the blaze, but Coleman said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The driver of the gray sedan was taken to the hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately clear.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The investigation into what factors may have caused the crash is ongoing, Coleman said. <\/p>\n<p>Northeast Dallas<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Officers were dispatched about 1 a.m. over reports of a major accident in the 8400 block of Walnut Hill Lane, near Greenville Avenue, in northeast Dallas. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Police said Dallas Fire-Rescue crews also responded and took two people to the hospital, where one was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The victim\u2019s name was not released, and no additional information was immediately available. <\/p>\n<p>Red Bird<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Officers responded about 3 a.m. to reports of a major accident in the 7000 block of South R.L. Thornton Freeway, near West Laureland Road, in Red Bird.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Investigators said the driver of a vehicle that had been \u201cinvolved in a collision\u201d was pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The victim\u2019s name was not released, and no additional information was immediately available. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Three people died in separate crashes early Saturday morning across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
