A second man, age 28, was wounded in the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Richard Pridgen, 20, is charged with German\u2019s murder and attempted murder for shooting the second victim, after the Office of Attorney General presented evidence about the shootings in recent months to the Grand Jury.<\/p>\n<p>Pridgen, who is in federal custody for a carjacking, and also has a second pending homicide case, was denied bail at arraignment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe grand jurors\u2019 presentment led to charges against an extremely violent individual and provided answers to a previously unsolved murder,\u201d Attorney General Sunday said. \u201cMy office will continue to collaborate daily with Philadelphia Police and the ATF to combat the illegal flow of firearms and acts of gun violence that so often result from those transfers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWorking with our partners, we are coming after the shooters and violent offenders who terrorize our communities,\u201d said Eric DeGree, Special Agent in Charge of the ATF Philadelphia Field Division. \u201cThis case is another example of how our combined resources with the Pennsylvania Attorney General and Philadelphia Police Department solve crimes and bring perpetrators to face justice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Philadelphia Police Department charged Pridgen with homicide, attempted murder, aggravated assault, violations of the Uniformed Firearms Act, and related offenses.<\/p>\n<p>The case is being prosecuted by Senior Deputy Attorneys General Maggie Hayes-Oberst and Helen Park.<\/p>\n<p><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pennwatchmedia.com\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"a2t-link\" aria-label=\"PW_2024_LeaderAd\" target=\"_blank\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/PW_2024_LeaderAd.png\" alt=\"\"   width=\"728\" height=\"90\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Attorney General Dave Sunday \u2014 in conjunction with the Philadelphia Police Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":413679,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[5132],"tags":[5229,1448,2830,1311,67,586,132,5230,68,2969],"class_list":{"0":"post-413678","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-philadelphia","8":"tag-america","9":"tag-pa","10":"tag-pennsylvania","11":"tag-philadelphia","12":"tag-united-states","13":"tag-united-states-of-america","14":"tag-unitedstates","15":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","16":"tag-us","17":"tag-usa"},"share_on_mastodon":{"url":"https:\/\/pubeurope.com\/@us\/115635145660283688","error":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/413678","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=413678"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/413678\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/413679"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=413678"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=413678"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=413678"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
