{"id":413935,"date":"2025-11-30T00:22:12","date_gmt":"2025-11-30T00:22:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/413935\/"},"modified":"2025-11-30T00:22:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-30T00:22:12","slug":"adot-releases-specialty-license-plates-that-benefit-charity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/413935\/","title":{"rendered":"ADOT releases specialty license plates that benefit charity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHOENIX \u2014 The Arizona Department of Transportation is now offering three new specialty license plates that each will see their proceeds go toward charitable causes.<\/p>\n<p>Phoenix Mercury, Ovarian Cancer Awareness and Verde Valley Wine Trail-themed plates are <a href=\"https:\/\/azdot.gov\/news\/adot-unveils-three-new-specialty-license-plates-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">available<\/a>, ADOT said.<\/p>\n<p>The plates <a href=\"https:\/\/azmvdnow.gov\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">start at $25<\/a> and $17 will go to respective charities.<\/p>\n<p>Those who want to personalize the plate\u2019s message can do so for an additional $25 per year.<\/p>\n<p>MVD now offers <a href=\"https:\/\/azdot.gov\/mvd\/services\/vehicle-services\/plates-and-placards\/plate-selections-gallery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">109 different license plate options<\/a>, which can be <a href=\"https:\/\/azmvdnow.gov\/plates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ordered online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Specialty plates have been offered in Arizona since 1989. <\/p>\n<p>According to ADOT, sales of specialty plates contributed more than $14.5 million for charitable causes during the fiscal year that ended June 30.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSpecialty\u00a0license\u00a0plates offer a fun way to put that personal touch on a vehicle and show your proud support for one of these uniquely Arizona organizations,\u201d MVD Director Eric Jorgensen said in a release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMVD is pleased to offer the various plates\u00a0that will have an impact for the organizations dedicated to helping Arizona and our communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Where ADOT specialty license plates proceeds are going<\/p>\n<p>The Phoenix Mercury license plate will see $17 go to the Phoenix Suns\/Phoenix Mercury Foundation; The Ovarian Cancer Awareness license plate will distribute $17 to programs that provide education, resources and support services to ovarian cancer patients, survivors and caregivers; The Verde Valley Wine Trail-themed plates will have $17 going toward sustainable vineyard practices and responsible driving initiatives.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"twitter-follow-button\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KTAR923\" data-show-count=\"false\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Follow @KTAR923<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We want to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px;\">Have a story idea or tip?
