Paul Martinka<\/p>\n<p>The Big Apple may experience some flurries early Tuesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/28\/us-news\/winter-storm-warnings-stretch-across-northern-us-bringing-snow-cold-and-risky-conditions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">but it will likely shift to rain<\/a>, the meteorologists said. New York City should expect one to two inches of precipitation. <\/p>\n<p>Northwest New Jersey, meanwhile, could get one to three inches of snow on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The Big Apple typically records 4.8 inches of snowfall in December, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). <\/p>\n<p>The city, however, rarely sees a white Christmas. The last time it snowed in the five boroughs on Christmas Day was in 2009.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.77659574;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"37801243\" width=\"668\" height=\"376\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/whiteout-driving-conditions-near-grand-116332150.jpg\" alt=\"Cars and snow\" class=\"wp-image-37801243\"  \/>New York City will likely be hit with rain.
