Wednesday, Dec. 3<\/p>\n

The Dallas Regional Chamber\u2019s State of the Region <\/b>conference will feature a powerhouse of local mayors from Fort Worth, Arlington, Frisco, Garland, McKinney and Richardson. The event will be at the Renaissance Dallas hotel in Richardson<\/b>, starting at 8:30 a.m.<\/p>\n

Prolific biographer Walter Isaacson<\/b> turns his efforts to the Declaration of Independence with his new book The Greatest Sentence Ever Written. He\u2019ll speak at the Dallas Museum of Art <\/b>at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 for museum members and $35 for others.<\/p>\n

Earnings results on deck include tech company Salesforce<\/b>, as well as a few that should give insights on holiday shopping sentiment, like Dollar Tree, Five Below<\/b> and Macy\u2019s<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Kroger<\/b> reports third quarter earnings along with Dollar General, Ulta <\/b>and Hormel<\/b> Foods.<\/p>\n

Federal data is back, although it\u2019s coming in a little slower because of effects from the government shutdown. The Bureau of Labor Statistics will release two key pieces of data, the Consumer Price Index <\/b>and employment situation<\/b> reports for November. <\/p>\n

Saturday, Dec. 6<\/p>\n

Watch out for glitter and sequins in downtown Dallas. The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center<\/b> is playing host to the Spirit Celebration Grand Nationals cheerleading competition<\/b>, put on by Farmers Branch-headquartered Varsity. The event runs through Sunday, Dec. 7.<\/p>\n

And end the week with the Metroplex Meows Cat Club Show<\/b> at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth on Saturday and Sunday. <\/p>\n
