SAN ANTONIO \u2014 Police are investigating a shooting and crash on the west side after a disturbance involving an F-250 pickup and another vehicle, according to SAPD.<\/p>\n
Officers were first called around noon Sunday to the 9200 block of Ridge Branch for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they were told that a Ford F-250 had sped away from the scene and crashed into two vehicles, police said.<\/p>\n
At the original location, officers found a man who told them he was asleep inside his vehicle. He told investigators he woke up after hearing a gunshot but denied firing any weapon, according to police.<\/p>\n
About a mile away, officers located an F-250 stopped near a Valero in the 9600 block of Culebra Road. Police found a man with gunshot wounds to his back and a woman. Both were detained for questioning.<\/p>\n
Police said the man in the truck was taken to a hospital in good condition. The woman remained at the scene.<\/p>\n
Investigators are still piecing together what exactly happened, but police said initial information suggests the people in the F-250 may have pulled up next to the other vehicle and broken its window. At that point, the man who was sleeping in the back seat may have fired a shot in response, though detectives said it is still unclear who fired the weapon.<\/p>\n
The man found in the first vehicle is also being detained as detectives work to piece together his story. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
