Just as it has done with previous Fairphone smartphones, Murena will sell the Fairphone 6 in the US. However, this version which will come with e\/OS\/ will not work with all US networks.<\/p>\n

The Fairphone 6<\/a> was announced in Europe in late June as the latest iteration of Fairphone’s sustainable smartphone. Unfortunately, as has been the case with previous models, Fairphone doesn’t officially sell the phone in North America. Nevertheless, there’s a way for those in the US who want to get their hands on Fairphone’s smartphones. <\/p>\n

Just like previous iterations of the Fairphone, the Fairphone 6 is available in the US through Murena, the company known for selling de-Googled versions<\/a> of select Android smartphones and tablets. This means the version of the Fairphone 6 available through the retailer will ship with e\/OS\/ just like the version of the Pixel Tablet (available on Amazon for $499 with Speaker Dock<\/a>) it announced earlier this year.<\/p>\n

The Fairphone 6, or Murena Fairphone (Gen. 6) as the product page says, is available to purchase from Murena for $899. This is significantly more expensive than the \u20ac649 (~$765) price tag of the e\/OS\/ version sold in Europe and the\u00a0\u20ac599 (~$706) price of the standard Android version. The\u00a0Murena Fairphone (Gen. 6) is carrier-unlocked and the product listing specifically mentions that the phone is compatible with T-Mobile and its MVNOs, but doesn’t work with Verizon. <\/p>\n

Murena has the Fairphone 6 in Cloud White, Forest Green, and Horizon Black, and it will begin shipping in August. The Murena Fairphone (Gen. 6) will have a 5-year warranty which includes the standard 2-year warranty and the extension that is offered by Fairphone. Unfortunately, as at the time of writing, Murena doesn’t have any parts available for the Fairphone 6, but that might change considering it sells parts for the Fairphone 4<\/a>.<\/p>\n
