He was 56.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tMcMahon was known for portraying villain Doctor Doom in 2005\u2019s Fantastic Four and the 2007\u2019s sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. He also played Christian Troy in Ryan Murphy\u2019s Nip\/Tuck and Cole Turner in Charmed. His more recent credits were in The Residence and The Surfer.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIoan Gruffudd, who played Reed Richards\/Mister Fantastic\u00a0in the superhero films posted a tribute on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DLtBP_rSnBQ\/?img_index=1\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DLtBP_rSnBQ\/?img_index=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a>: \u201cEven though we played each other\u2019s nemeses, there was always so much lightness and laughter working together. Every encounter with him was a joy,\u201d he wrote. \u201cIt was an honor to be Dr. Richards to his Dr. Doom. My heart goes out to his wife and family. God speed Julian.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tMichael Chiklis, who played Ben Grimm\/The Thing in the Fantastic Four films, shared a photo of himself, Jessica Alba and McMahon on <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DLtOCR9PmCa\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DLtOCR9PmCa\/\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m devastated to hear of the passing of my friend Julian. Life is so precious and fragile. My condolences to his family. RIP Jules,\u201d he captioned the post. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tNip\/Tuck co-star Dylan Walsh shared a statement with The Hollywood Reporter, which reads: \u201cDear Jules,\u00a0I know you like to flout the boundaries but this time you\u2019ve gone too far. Let\u2019s meet at the Biltmore, have a martini and we\u2019ll talk this through.\u00a0We\u2019ll laugh hard, the valet will bring up your Hummer, and right behind my hatchback with car seats and bird shit on the window, we\u2019ve laughed at this too many times. Now it\u2019s just us. You\u2019ll kiss me on the cheek and say \u2018Bye Dyl.\u2019\u00a0Good bye Jules.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tMcMahon\u2019s Charmed co-star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/alyssa-milano\/\" id=\"auto-tag_alyssa-milano_1\" data-tag=\"alyssa-milano\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alyssa Milano<\/a>, shared a carousel of photos of her with the actor to her <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DLtpKXyODXN\/?img_index=11\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DLtpKXyODXN\/?img_index=11\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a>, writing in part, \u201cJulian McMahon was magic \u2026 We spent years together on Charmed \u2014 years of scenes, stories, and so many in-between moments. He made me feel safe as an actor. Seen as a woman. He challenged me, teased me, supported me. We were so different, and yet somehow we always understood each other,\u201d she recalled. \u201cJulian was more than my TV husband. He was a dear friend. The kind who checks in. The kind who remembers. The kind who shares. The kind who tells you the truth, even when it\u2019s uncomfortable \u2014 but always with love.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHolly Marie Combs, another Charmed co-star, posted to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DLtFsBfS71P\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DLtFsBfS71P\/\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a>: \u201cOne of a kind is an understatement. Your unyielding zest for life and crazy making sense of humor will be sorely missed,\u201d she wrote with photos of the cast and of McMahon with Shannen Doherty, <a data-id=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/shannen-doherty-dead-beverly-hills-90210-star-1235948240\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/shannen-doherty-dead-beverly-hills-90210-star-1235948240\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">who died last year<\/a>. \u201cThe joy and laughter you were the direct cause of will always be remembered. I hope you find our lady friend and dance in those rose petals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAnd Charmed\u2018s Rose McGowan shared a tribute to her Instagram Story that reads: \u201cOh Julian you force of brilliance, wild talent and humour. For you, your family and loving fans all over the world, I pray comfort.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHis Nip\/Tuck co-star Kelly Carlson posted a reel on <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/Cthg4J8Jgbs\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/Cthg4J8Jgbs\/\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a> of the two. While his Residence and The Supremes at Earl\u2019s All-You-Can-Eat co-star Uzo Aduba <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DLtkeqKOI1e\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DLtkeqKOI1e\/\" target=\"_blank\">wrote<\/a>, in part, \u201cSuch a talent, but also just so much love for life. Energy. Intelligence. Sending all of my love to those who worked with, knew, and loved Julian.
