A recent wave of online reactions has brought renewed attention to the look of Batman<\/a><\/strong> in the upcoming DCU reboot. Following remarks from DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn<\/a><\/strong> about costume preferences, fans have taken to social media to voice their opinions on the iconic Batsuit design. With The Brave and the Bold<\/a><\/strong> still in development, the debate over Batman\u2019s appearance is quickly becoming a focal point of fan discussion.<\/p>\n

James Gunn recently confirmed<\/a> that the \u201cmost requested thing\u201d for the new DCU Batman is \u201cthe blue and grey\u201d suit, followed by \u201cthe yellow around the bat\u201d and \u201cthen the white eyes.\u201d He added, \u201cBut all of those things I find less important than the character himself, the writing, and the person who plays him.\u201d This response came after he was asked on social media if the white eyes were the most requested design element.<\/p>\n

Following Gunn\u2019s comments, fans on X (formerly Twitter) reacted by expressing support for a comic-accurate Batman costume. I’m honestly down for whatever they’ll do with the batsuit as long it’s comic accurate. But for the white eyes, I say that they should have it be like Mister Terrific & Arkham.<\/p>\n

Gunn previously discussed<\/a> the Batsuit, indicating he\u2019s open to the idea but hasn\u2019t made a final decision yet. The new Batman will debut in The Brave and the Bold, which centers on Damian Wayne. Gunn said, \u201cThis is the story of Damian Wayne, who is Batman\u2019s actual son\u2026 He was raised as a little murderer and assassin\u2026 He\u2019s my favorite Robin.\u201d Peter Safran confirmed that other Bat-family members will also be included in the film.
