Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency at 5 a.m. ET Tuesday, citing &#8220;significant impacts&#8221; expected from snow, rain and icing in the northern half of the state. (FOX Weather) <\/p>\n<p data-v-3646484b=\"\">Sussex County, New Jersey, remains under an advisory through 7 p.m., with 1 to 3 inches of snow, locally up to 4 inches in higher elevations, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weather.gov\/okx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a light glaze of ice possible.<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-3646484b=\"\">Warren County, New Jersey, along with Berks, Lehigh and Northampton counties in Pennsylvania, remains under an advisory until 1 p.m., with 1 to 3 inches of snow, up to 4 inches in elevated terrain, and minor icing anticipated.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/screenshot-2025-12-02-073734.png\" alt=\"\" data-v-0dea8073=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p data-v-3646484b=\"\"><strong>FOX 5 NY<\/strong> meteorologist Mike Woods warned early Tuesday that the storm would &#8220;get real sloppy for us all,&#8221; noting that clouds and showers were already merging and would intensify through the morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"WNYW\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-3646484b=\"\">Timeline:<\/p>\n<p data-v-3646484b=\"\"><strong>6:45 a.m.<\/strong>: Temperatures in areas like Newark sit just above freezing. Rising dew points allow precipitation to reach the ground.<\/p>\n<p data-v-3646484b=\"\"><strong>Around 8 a.m.<\/strong>: The main precipitation shield moves in, bringing widespread heavy rain to New York City and nearby lower-elevation areas.
