{"id":421187,"date":"2025-12-03T06:10:11","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T06:10:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/421187\/"},"modified":"2025-12-03T06:10:11","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T06:10:11","slug":"shavano-park-bexar-county-to-appoint-emergency-management-coordinator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/421187\/","title":{"rendered":"Shavano Park, Bexar County to appoint emergency management coordinator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAs a necessary step to ensure coordination with the Bexar County Office of Emergency Management in the event of an emergency, Shavano Park City Council entered into an interlocal agreement with Bexar County to jointly appoint an emergency management coordinator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zFTzJDRWy1c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nov. 24<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Two-minute impact<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to city documents, the appointee, selected by Mayor Bob Werner and Judge Peter Sakai, will coordinate all aspects of the Shavano Park\/Bexar County OEM program, including the preparation and maintenance of an interjurisdictional emergency management plan.<\/p>\n<p>Fire Chief Darrell Dover said the appointment will allow the city to easily request help in the event of a large-scale incident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe city of Shavano Park will continue to handle all incidents that we are capable of handling.
