Weezer bassist Scott Shriner\u2019s wife <\/a>filed for divorce from her rockstar husband eight months after she was arrested for allegedly firing at Los Angeles police officers.<\/p>\n

Jillian Shriner, 52, filed the paperwork in court on Tuesday, citing \u201cirreconcilable differences\u201d as the reason for the divorce, according to TMZ.<\/a><\/p>\n

Shriner married her musician husband in November 2005 and the couple shares two adopted children, 17 and 13.<\/p>\n

The author, known under her maiden name Jillian Lauren, asked for joint legal and physical custody of the children and is looking for spousal support. She also blocked the option for Scott to receive spousal support, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n

No date of separation or prenup was made available.<\/p>\n

Shriner was hospitalized for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound <\/a>sustained during an armed standoff with police officers in Los Angeles on April 9.<\/p>\n

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department were searching the area around her home in the Eagle Rock neighborhood for three suspects who fled from them after a hit-and-run.<\/p>\n

Shriner allegedly stepped out of her home, armed with a gun and fired at the officers.<\/p>\n

She failed to comply with several orders to drop the firearm and was shot in the shoulder before she fled back inside the residence. <\/p>\n

She returned and surrendered to the police moments later.<\/a> She was initially charged with attempted murder, but later faced charges of willful\u00a0discharge\u00a0of a firearm in a grossly\u00a0negligent\u00a0manner and assault with a semiautomatic firearm<\/p>\n

Shriner posted a $1 million bond and has since pleaded not guilty to two felony gun charges.<\/p>\n

In September, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled Shriner \u201celigible and suitable\u201d for a two-year\u00a0mental health diversion program, <\/a>which allows defendants with a qualifying mental health or substance abuse disorder\u00a0to undergo community-based treatment instead of serving time in prison.<\/p>\n

If she completes all conditions of the diversion,<\/a> including abstaining from illicit drugs and alcohol, the court will dismiss her charges, according to the LA County District Attorney\u2019s office. <\/p>\n

Shriner was also ordered to continue to participate in weekly therapy sessions, undergo\u00a0random drug and alcohol testing, and attend at least three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings a week.<\/p>\n
