{"id":422020,"date":"2025-12-03T14:59:16","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T14:59:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/422020\/"},"modified":"2025-12-03T14:59:16","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T14:59:16","slug":"update-disney-reveals-debut-month-for-new-frozen-ever-after-animatronics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/422020\/","title":{"rendered":"UPDATE: Disney Reveals Debut Month for New Frozen Ever After Animatronics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After a decade of guest requests, Frozen Ever After at EPCOT is set to receive updated Audio-Animatronics of Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff, modeled after the newer figures introduced at Hong Kong Disneyland in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Disney has announced that the new Audio-Animatronics figures of Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff in Frozen Ever After at EPCOT will debut in February 2026.<\/p>\n<p><a data-fslightbox=\"1\" data-type=\"image\" aria-label=\"Open fullscreen lightbox with current image\" href=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/2025-WDW-Audio-Animatronics-Frozen-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1280\" alt=\"Projection-Face Audio Animatronics Being Replaced on Frozen Ever After at EPCOT\" class=\"wp-image-1304058 lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/2025-WDW-Audio-Animatronics-Frozen-2.jpg\" data-eio-rwidth=\"1920\" data-eio-rheight=\"1280\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When Frozen Ever After replaced Maelstrom in 2016 in the Norway pavilion at EPCOT, the projection or \u201cscreen-face\u201d figures were groundbreaking as it was the first Disney attraction ever to have all-electric Audio-Animatronics,\u00a0and\u00a0the first to combine electric motors and 3D printing. Since then, these techniques have become standard implementations.<\/p>\n<p><a data-fslightbox=\"1\" data-type=\"image\" aria-label=\"Open fullscreen lightbox with current image\" href=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/2025-WDW-Audio-Animatronics-Frozen-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1280\" alt=\"Projection-Face Audio Animatronics Being Replaced on Frozen Ever After at EPCOT\" class=\"wp-image-1304059 lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/2025-WDW-Audio-Animatronics-Frozen-1.jpg\" data-eio-rwidth=\"1920\" data-eio-rheight=\"1280\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since Elsa is known for her magical, ice-forming hand gestures, her Audio-Animatronics figure had to handle the fluid movements just like the character does on screen. Imagineers needed enough space to run cables and motors down her arms and hands, so they figured out how big Elsa\u2019s wrist needed to be and scaled everything else in the attraction to match.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, World of Frozen opened at Hong Kong Disneyland, featuring many technical updates for the Frozen Ever After boat ride. Among those updates were impressive Audio-Animatronics figures of Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff with articulated, physical faces. The immediate feedback from Disney fans was strong: bring these figures to Walt Disney World.
