WalletHub<\/a>, a personal finance company, ranked 182 different cities in the United States with 37 different indicators of vices and illicit behavior, according to their website.<\/p>\n\u201cRegardless of any particular religious tenets, certain activities are considered \u2018sinful\u2019 by society as a whole,\u201d said Chip Lupo, a WalletHub analyst. \u201cSometimes, these activities are always bad, like violent crimes or identity theft. In other cases, they may be relatively harmless in moderation but incredibly destructive when not kept under control, such as alcohol use or gambling.\u201d<\/p>\n
Of the four major cities in Texas, Houston ranked at No. 2, Dallas at No. 8, San Antonio at No. 25 and Austin at No. 37.<\/p>\n
Houston received an explanation as to why it was ranked so highly, with a high number of adult stores and illicit internet traffic, along with a particular high amounts anger and trouble with vices.<\/p>\n
\u201cHouston\u2019s residents struggle with anger and hatred,\u201d McCann said. \u201cThe city has the 21st-highest violent crime rate in the country and the 28th-highest number of aggravated assault offenses per capita.\u201d<\/p>\n
