She was 45.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHer photographer Lindsey announced her death Tuesday on Instagram, sharing her final statement. Anderson had openly shared that she had the disease since 2018. You can read it in full below.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cIf you\u2019re reading this, I\u2019ve finally slipped into the arms of Jesus \u2014 peacefully and surrounded by love,\u201d Criscilla said in the statement posted to her social media accounts. \u201cPlease don\u2019t stay in the darkness of this moment. I fought hard and I loved deeply. I am not gone\u2026 I\u2019m Home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cMy babies\u2026 I am watching over you. When a moment feels warm, familiar, or too beautiful to be coincidence \u2014 that\u2019s me. I\u2019m still mothering you,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cI\u2019m still yours.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/explore\/tags\/everybutterfly\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">#everybutterfly<\/a>\u201c<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAnderson\u2019s family was featured in Country Ever After, a Netflix reality show which aired for one season in 2020. In the show, Criscilla was undergoing treatment for stage three colon cancer as she raised her children and continued to work as a dancer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHer ex-husband Coffey Anderson remembered Criscilla on Instagram, saying she \u201cdefined strength and fighter like no other person on the planet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cHeaven gained a star today,\u201d he wrote. \u201cWe miss you already. Our hearts are shattered. Our minds are jumbled. Our lives will never be the same. The house is quieter because you\u2019re missing. The babies are resilient and strong as ever. We did good with them. So, dance your heart out on the beach in heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tViola Davis is among many who paid tribute to Anderson in a reply to the Coffey Anderson\u2019s post.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cBeautiful, fitting tribute,\u201d she wrote. \u201cMy heart and prayers are with you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Criscilla Anderson, dancer and star of Netflix reality series Country Ever After, has died of colon cancer.
