<\/p>\n RICHMOND, Va. \u2014 Loyola Chicago showcased strong ball movement Wednesday night, recording 12 assists on 18 made field goals, but the Ramblers fell to Richmond, 69\u201346, in their Atlantic 10 opener.<\/p>\n “We knew this would be a tough test, but our first-half effort put us in a hole we couldn’t climb out of,” said Loyola Chicago Head Coach Allison Guth<\/a>.\u00a0“We didn’t execute offensively, turned it over 20 times, shot 38-percent\u00a0at the line and were out-rebounded 41\u201328 \u2014 that’s a pride issue. We were better in the second half, and Alex-Anne Bessette<\/a> was a bright spot with 15 points, but our standard has to be higher from the start as we move on to Western Michigan,”.<\/p>\n How It Happened<\/strong> Richmond built its largest lead at 44\u201313 early in the third before Loyola (2-6, 0-1 A-10) responded with a 5\u20130 run capped by an Alex-Anne Bessette<\/a> three-pointer. The Ramblers outscored Richmond 14\u201313 in the quarter, trimming the deficit to 48\u201324.
