Huckaby also joked about the unofficial competition she\u2019ll be having with other countries: \u201cOne big part about the competition is seeing the other nations\u2019 uniforms and acknowledging that ours are way cooler. I feel very confident that we\u2019re going to win the uniform competition before we actually compete.\u201d <\/p>\n

Lauren said the process took \u201c2.5 years trying to get to know the athletes and to understand what the story will be in Milan and what they wanted to talk about.\u201d <\/p>\n
He added, \u201cThere is a timelessness to these uniforms. We created clothes that are made to endure and last and be a part of history.\u201d<\/p>\n
Collaboration was key: every stitch, fabric and cut was tested with the athletes to make sure the uniforms were both stylish and functional for life on and off the podium. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe wanted to create pieces that are very Ralph Lauren but also appropriate for the team,\u201d Lauren said. \u201cIt\u2019s a bigger story than just the athletes.
