{"id":4258,"date":"2025-06-22T03:55:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-22T03:55:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/4258\/"},"modified":"2025-06-22T03:55:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-22T03:55:10","slug":"jannik-sinner-told-the-two-things-he-must-do-to-beat-carlos-alcaraz-by-rafael-nadals-former-coach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/4258\/","title":{"rendered":"Jannik Sinner told the two things he must do to beat Carlos Alcaraz by Rafael Nadal\u2019s former coach"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are currently ranked number one and number two in the world, and have shared the last six Grand Slams.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Sinner and Alcaraz faced off for the 12th time in the final of the 2025 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/french-open\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">French Open<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In one of the greatest Grand Slam finals in tennis history, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/rafael-nadal-reacts-to-carlos-alcaraz-winning-the-french-open-and-sends-message-to-jannik-sinner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alcaraz battled back to beat Sinner<\/a> 4-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 7-6.<\/p>\n<p>After almost five and a half hours of brutal action on Court Philippe Chatrier, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alcaraz<\/a> defeated his Italian rival once more.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/GettyImages-2218661659-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Carlos Alcaraz poses with the trophy next to the clock after the 2025 French Open final\" class=\"wp-image-100916\" \/>Photo by THIBAUD MORITZ\/AFP via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The Spaniard has dominated the head-to-head with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/jannik-sinner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sinner<\/a> over the past 12 months, winning each of their previous five meetings.<\/p>\n<p>As Sinner looks for solutions on how to beat Alcaraz, one legendary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/atp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ATP<\/a> coach has suggested the two areas where he can improve.<\/p>\n<p>Toni Nadal says Jannik Sinner can improve his drop shots to beat Carlos Alcaraz<\/p>\n<p>During an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gazzetta.it\/Tennis\/ATP\/21-06-2025\/toni-nadal-giudica-sinner-per-wimbledon.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">La Gazzetta dello Sport<\/a>, Rafael Nadal\u2019s former coach, Toni Nadal, highlighted the areas of Sinner\u2019s game that could do with some work.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI speak as an outside observer, [Jannik] Sinner\u2019s coaches know very well what needs to be worked on,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/toni-nadal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nadal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe has a great serve, very powerful forehand and backhand, and he is very solid. He could be more precise in the drop shots, and sometimes he is a bit in a hurry.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/GettyImages-2220005870-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Jannik Sinner after losing the French Open final in 2025.\" class=\"wp-image-102173\" \/>Photo by Tim Clayton\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCarlos [Alcaraz], on the other hand, is more creative. Everyone can do better; even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/roger-federer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">[Roger] Federer<\/a> perfected his backhand. Jannik will continue to add small details, to evolve.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nadal continued on, explaining why Alcaraz has the edge over Sinner in their rivalry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the Spaniard is mentally a little superior in the decisive moments, while the Italian is better at imposing a very high pace without making mistakes. But when it\u2019s the key moment, between the two of them, maybe Carlos is a little superior,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSometimes it\u2019s just that your game and that of your rival don\u2019t combine well. Carlos dominates the precedents with Sinner, but the truth is that if the Italian had had a little more luck, he would have two more victories and Carlos two more defeats.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll it takes is one ball in or out, and chaos breaks out: everyone becomes an expert, the press looks for exceptional explanations.
