TAMPA\/DALLAS \u2014 <\/strong>Dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria. Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Erik Karlsson delivered an all-time postgame synopsis that was honest and funny and admitted that what we all watched was both fun and not so good. Also, Pittsburgh Hockey Now is reporting an update on the Penguins sale that you\u2019ll want to check out. <\/p>\n

Elsewhere, a new team (the Montreal Canadiens) is checking on goalies, the Dallas Stars are about to get aggressive on the NHL trade market, and \u2026 seriously, the Penguins won that game?!<\/p>\n

I am en route from Tampa to Dallas. The weather is nice in Dallas, and the people are great, but it\u2019s sprawling, and downtown isn\u2019t much. I have never found a great spot that I have to visit again, so I\u2019m all ears if you have a great spot on the DART line or in downtown (I don\u2019t have a car). I\u2019ve hit a few BBQ spots by whatever hotel I\u2019m in, and, for me, BBQ falls into three categories: Good, bad, and Southern. I hate the yellow, mustard-based Southern BBQ. I\u2019m not sorry. <\/p>\n

The Penguins and I will get a day away from the rink today, so perhaps I\u2019ll roll through Dealey Plaza again, now that I believe I\u2019ve heard something pretty close to the truth via the Rob Reiner\/Soledad O\u2019Brien Who Killed JFK podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m still waiting for the JFK files (amongst others)!<\/p>\n

Now, we tried to dig into that mess that was fun, awesome, wild, chaotic, and a joy to watch. Even Erik Karlsson said so. So, here is the report card, the team\u2019s outright praise for Jarry, and the Penguins\u2019 grades<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Not dead. Sometimes sources unexpectedly find you. I wish I could tell you how and where, but we\u2019ve been digging on the Hoffman Group for some time, and a source with direct knowledge of the process decided to shed some light on the process and status of the Penguins sale<\/a>.<\/p>\n

TSN Insiders: The Olympic rink report is expected today. Also, Chris Johnston reports that following the season-ending injury to Tyler Seguin, the Dallas Stars are going to be aggressive looking for help<\/a>.<\/p>\n

NY Post\u2019s Mollie Walker on X: She got a healthy quote from Team USA coach Mike Sullivan on the potentially smaller Olympic rink:<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope that\u2019s not the case. I think the NHL rank is too small as it is. When you think in terms of the evolution of the game and the evolution of people, we\u2019re playing on the same size ice surface that the players were playing in the 50s, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n

I agree, but the NHL will never remove a row of the highest paying seats to expand the rinks, eh? \u2026Even if most arenas could easily lose that row without losing attendance. <\/p>\n
