Two Chicago restaurants have been deemed among the “Best New Restaurants in America” for 2025 by popular magazine Esquire. <\/p>\n

The annual list, released Dec. 1, is made up of 33 restaurants “where spectacular food is coupled with a damn good time,” editors wrote. “These are the places you hate to leave, but when you do, you leave full.”<\/p>\n

The list spans a number of states, including New York, California, Colorado, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Florida.<\/p>\n

Two Illinois restaurants made the cut: Mirra and Pizz’Amici; both of which are in Chicago. <\/p>\n

Mirra<\/a>, which opened in 2024 at 1954 W. Armitage Ave., combines Indian and Mexican cooking, with dishes like barbacoa lamb birayni and hamachi aguachile. <\/p>\n

“One bite spans the globe,” editors wrote. <\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Mirra earned a Bib Gourmand recommendation from the Michelin Guide. <\/p>\n

For Pizz’Amici, which opened in 1215 W. Grand Ave., in West Town, editors wrote the “vibes are immaculate and the pies are perfect,” and typically has a lined out the door. <\/p>\n

Eater Chicago also named Pizz’Amici the “Best New Pizzeria” in the city for 2025. <\/p>\n
