PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Phoenix police have arrested a suspect in two separate murders that happened five days apart in north Phoenix.<\/p>\n

Adalberto Pablo Cordova Torres, 21, is being held on two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the crimes that happened late last month.<\/p>\n

The first happened around 3:15 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, outside a strip mall near 19th Avenue and Greenway Road<\/a>. Officers responded to reports of a shooting and found a man dead at the scene<\/a>. The victim has since been identified as 45-year-old Marcus Adams.<\/p>\n

Then, shortly before 2 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, Phoenix police were called to check on an injured person near 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road<\/a> \u2014 a mile south of the previous homicide. There, officers found a man dead<\/a> from multiple gunshot wounds. He was later identified as 29-year-old Andreas Samual Olguin.<\/p>\n

While details are currently limited, Phoenix police confirm they linked Torres to the shootings through ballistics. Investigators say those tests also tied Torres to a drive-by shooting near 1st Drive and Greenway Parkway<\/a> days before, on Nov. 11. No one was injured in that incident.<\/p>\n

In addition to the murder charges, Torres is also jailed on one count of discharging a firearm at a residence. He\u2019s being held on a $3 million bond.<\/p>\n
