A 14-year-old boy is in hospital after colliding with a car while riding his e-bike in Claremont.<\/p>\n

Police, St John and a fire crew attended the scene just after 11am on Saturday following the crash on Stirling Highway near Freshwater Parade.<\/p>\n

The boy was riding an electric-bicycle on Stirling Highway when he collided with a black Land Rover Defender turning onto Stirling Highway from a carpark opposite the Freshwater Parade intersection.<\/p>\n

The teenager suffered serious leg injuries.<\/p>\n

He was taken to Perth Children\u2019s Hospital by paramedics under normal road conditions. His injuries are not life-threatening and he is in a stable condition.<\/p>\n

The 57-year-old male driver of the vehicle was uninjured and stopped at the scene.<\/p>\n

The all-black Land Rover Defender remained on the scene just after lunchtime, along with a wrecked e-bike in shrub nearby.<\/p>\n

A single shoe was left upside down on the footpath and rubble that looked to be from the vehicle\u2019s tyres was scattered on the road.<\/p>\n

Neighbours believe the boy was trapped under the vehicle for quite some time.<\/p>\n

Major crash detectives arrived just after midday.<\/p>\n

Police are appealing for any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online<\/a>.<\/p>\n
