The &#8220;Espresso&#8221; singer, 26, condemned the unauthorized use of the song on X on Tuesday, Dec. 2.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This video is evil and disgusting,&#8221; she wrote. &#8220;Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The White House&#8217;s X account later posted a clip of Carpenter on &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/entertainment\/tv\/2025\/10\/19\/snl-domingo-sketch-sabrina-carpenter-taylor-swift\/86786719007\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/entertainment\/tv\/2025\/10\/19\/snl-domingo-sketch-sabrina-carpenter-taylor-swift\/86786719007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Saturday Night Live,&#8221;<\/a> where the singer said she plans to arrest star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/entertainment\/celebrities\/2024\/03\/17\/marcello-hernandez-snl-sketch-comedy-writing-bad-bunny-essentials\/71968571007\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/entertainment\/celebrities\/2024\/03\/17\/marcello-hernandez-snl-sketch-comedy-writing-bad-bunny-essentials\/71968571007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marcello Hernandez<\/a> as part of a comedic bit. The post encourages undocumented people to turn themselves in with the caption reading, &#8220;PSA: If you&#8217;re a criminal illegal, you will be arrested and reported.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>White House Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson hit back in a statement provided to USA TODAY, which referenced the lyrics to another Carpenter song, &#8220;Manchild.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Here&#8217;s a Short n&#8217; Sweet message for <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/entertainment\/music\/sabrina-carpenter\/\" data-autotag=\"a55ea9d6-9153-436c-8d71-c26033fd0356\" rel=\"noopener\">Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>: we won&#8217;t apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country,&#8221; Jackson said before referencing a lyric from the song. &#8220;Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"related-link\"><strong style=\"margin-right:3px\">Sabrina Carpenter <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/life\/health-wellness\/2024\/12\/03\/sabrina-carpenter-women-sex-hookup-culture\/76704696007\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">hookup culture and why the way we talk about sex is changing<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/entertainment\/music\/olivia-rodrigo\/\" data-autotag=\"7c6f3be2-77ec-4fe6-885f-accfdcc862af\" rel=\"noopener\">Olivia Rodrigo<\/a> previously slammed the White House over song use<\/p>\n<p>Carpenter is just the latest pop singer to take issue with the White House&#8217;s use of their music.<\/p>\n<p>In November, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/entertainment\/music\/olivia-rodrigo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Olivia Rodrigo<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/entertainment\/music\/2025\/11\/09\/olivia-rodrigo-all-american-bitch-ice-deportation-video\/87185988007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">spoke out after the Department of Homeland Security<\/a> and the White House used the singer&#8217;s 2023 song &#8220;all-american bitch&#8221; to promote self-deportations among undocumented immigrants on social media.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Don&#8217;t ever use my songs to promote your racist, hateful propaganda,&#8221; Rodrigo said at the time,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/music-news\/olivia-rodrigo-slams-ice-song-use-racist-hateful-propaganda-1236108389\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Billboard<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/olivia-rodrigo-slams-ice-using-song-hateful-propaganda-1235462106\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rolling Stone<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>In response, a spokesperson for the DHS told USA TODAY, in a statement that referenced the lyrics to Rodrigo&#8217;s song: &#8220;America is grateful all the time for our federal law enforcement officers who keep us safe.
