{"id":428523,"date":"2025-12-06T09:47:11","date_gmt":"2025-12-06T09:47:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/428523\/"},"modified":"2025-12-06T09:47:11","modified_gmt":"2025-12-06T09:47:11","slug":"man-stabbed-on-septa-train-in-center-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/428523\/","title":{"rendered":"Man stabbed on SEPTA train in Center City"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">A man was stabbed several times on a <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/topic\/septa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SEPTA<\/a> train in <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/topic\/center-city\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Center City<\/a> early Friday evening, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">The stabbing occurred shortly before 5:25 p.m. and the victim was taken by SEPTA Transit Police from the 13th Street Station on the Market-Frankford Line to <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/topic\/thomas-jefferson-university\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thomas Jefferson University<\/a> Hospital, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">\u201cTwo people were engaged in an argument that escalated into a fight and then a stabbing that left one of them in critical condition,\u201d SEPTA spokesperson Andrew Busch said in an email.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">The victim was stabbed in the neck, police said.
