{"id":429004,"date":"2025-12-06T15:06:15","date_gmt":"2025-12-06T15:06:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/429004\/"},"modified":"2025-12-06T15:06:15","modified_gmt":"2025-12-06T15:06:15","slug":"road-rage-incident-leads-to-crashes-and-gunfire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/429004\/","title":{"rendered":"Road rage incident leads to crashes and gunfire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN ANTONIO &#8211; Police are investigating a \u2018road rage\u2019 incident on the city&#8217;s Near Northeast Side early Saturday morning that escalated into a vehicle crash and alleged gunfire, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred around 5:15 a.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of N. New Braunfels Avenue. Officers were dispatched to a shooting in progress and arrived to find two wrecked vehicles: a black BMW and a grey Ford F-150 pickup truck.<\/p>\n<p>The complainant, an 18-year-old man driving the BMW, told officers that the suspect, a 23-year-old man driving the F-150, was &#8220;road raging&#8221; and intentionally tried to crash into the BMW. The suspect&#8217;s truck reportedly &#8220;clipped the front&#8221; of the BMW, causing it to wreck. The complainant then reported hearing what sounded like gunshots being fired and fled the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses at the location stated they saw the suspect exit the grey truck and run in the direction the complainant had fled, allegedly carrying a long gun.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect was quickly detained by officers.
