Phoenix police are investigating after a body was discovered in a west Phoenix neighborhood early on June 5.<\/p>\n

Around 6 a.m., officers responded to a report of unknown trouble near 51st Avenue and Indian School Road, according to Phoenix Police Department spokesperson Lorraine Fernandez.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive female victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene by the Phoenix Fire Department, according to Fernandez.<\/p>\n

Detectives are still working to confirm her identity.<\/p>\n

“This is extremely early in the investigation,” Fernandez said, and declined to share further details.<\/p>\n
